| Fully-integrated Rollbar Cage
Italian unibody craftsmanship in the 1970's wasn't all that advanced. We went through the entire car and added a one inch weld every two inches in all areas that two pieces of sheet metal come together in a seam. We then fabricated a full roll cage (four point in the cockpit) with appropriate cross ties behind the bulkhead. The roll cage extends to all four shock towers of the car and two more bars were welded from front to back underneath the car as well. At 200 mph, we wanted as little flex in the car as possible.
