Increased Creature Comforts

In case you haven't met our driver, he isn't on the small side (six foot three, 240 lbs). Panteras are usually designed for the more petite Italian race jock, so we had to make a few accommodations. We wanted to be able to push the clutch without having your knees in your face).

Notice the rollbars in the first picture. They are in FRONT of the firewall. We moved our new rollbars BEHIND the firewall, adding a few inches of legroom. In the second picture, you will notice that the floorboards are gone. We just wanted more headroom so we dropped the floorboards three inches! Now there is room for a helmet on our driver's head, or a little freeboard for his hair to fly free during those joy rides through the town.

And since we drive the car in Arizona, we installed the R-34 air-conditioning system with the condenser up front. We put it up in the gurney chute in front of the radiator so it would operate more efficiently and not be affected by engine heat as much.

Not much room to breathe in here

Where'd the floor go?
