The expression "Closing the barn door after the horse got out" applies to many safety programs. Many safety engineers are so busy responding to safety incidents they don't have the time to spend on preventing accidents from happening. A safety incident can be a catastrophic event, or a seemingly insignificant event, or near-miss. How many near misses occur before one catastrophic event occurs? Unfortunately, this number is not one with which we can afford to gamble. Just as in medicine, Safety Professionals know that preventative action is the most effective way to eliminate dire events. Preventative treatment or actions return long-lasting, highly effective results. Good safety practice identifies and eliminates potential causes of accidents to reduce workplace hazards.
The Ex3 Safety Incident Management Module tracks data related to fires, explosions, chemical spills, or any other type of safety incident. Associations with people, work environment, equipment, and other investigation data support root cause analysis. Dynamic reporting capabilities provide instantaneous graphics, reports, indicators, and paretos to support your Safety Team's efforts for an "Injury-Free" workplace.
The Ex3 Safety Incident Module helps you "close the barn door" on safety incidents before they have a chance to become a runaway problem. EHSDMS gives you the tool for effective reporting and analysis to support proactive response to safety concerns.
