Beginnings
Efficient Enterprise Engineering, Inc. (dba Ex3) was founded in January 1997 by Nathan R. Giles. Prior to there being an Ex3, Mr. Giles worked as an independent consultant. Mr. Giles was represented by several

international consulting firms as a person who could take a project that was in trouble, turn it around, and make it a success. In late 1994 this lead to an opportunity for Mr. Giles to take on a project with one of the worlds leading semiconductor manufacturing companies. Again the result was a successful world-wide deployed application. In late 1996 Mr. Giles was asked by senior managers of that company to form a corporation to enable them to continue a long term relationship with Mr. Giles and his programming team. In January 1997 Mr. Giles formed Efficient Enterprise Engineering, Inc. as an Arizona Corporation. The key personnel on that team have remained with Mr. Giles and are still with the company today. Programming professionals that had worked with Mr. Giles on previous projects jumped at the chance to be part of the new company.
Rapid Growth
Ex3 has experienced substantial growth since its beginning. Starting from one customer, Ex3 has grown an impressive customer list. The Ex3 customer list now includes NASA, all of the United States Armed forces, several U.S. Department of Energy research labs, The worlds leading semiconductor and Technology companies, leading automotive design and manufacturing companies and more. Ex3 is still dedicated to the same values we started with. This dedication to customer satisfaction and project success is the reason for our continued record growth even in tough economic times.
Office Locations
Ex3 Corporate Offices, the Ex3 Programming Center, and the Ex3 Internet Server Farm are located in Tempe, AZ. Staff in our Cleveland, Ohio office cares for the needs of clients in the eastern portion of the United States. Additionally, in order to ensure appropriate redundancy and continuous operation of business for ourselves and our customer, Ex3 maintians a redundant backup and disaster recovery site in Central Kansas. Today, Ex3 professionals serve the needs of customers across the US, as well as in Europe and Asia.
